I love this song for the desert rhythm it evokes, and indeed it is a song about a couple walking together in the desert sands, whispering a song about love. They walk through described landscapes that are still familiar to the senses of my memories, the dry shrubs, the hot winds. I can even smell the dust of it. The song is like an archetype of young love, hope and promise, which is extra poignant to me as they walk through a place that has so relentlessly challenged both.
