about

I chose this one because it was on an Arik Sinai record we used to have. (I believe I scratched it and was too afraid to tell my parents I ruined it!) It describes the coming of autumn, which is my favourite season, and the word for the fallen leaves is “Shalechet”, which has letters from both the words, ‘thrown’ and ‘walking’, capturing in its very sound, the sound of the season. It is a song to a young woman, dreaming about love, promising it will come. It seemed appropriately melancholy and optimistic.
